The Aftermath of Flash Floods 2009

Local resident, M.Govin and I at Segambut Estate Hindu Temple where the statue of God was destroyed by floods

Yesterday morning I went to inspect the areas affected by the day before flash floods. The aftermath scenes were the usual muddy floors, water-soaked furniture, damaged household electrical appliances, need-to-be overhauled motor vehicles, and dirty laundries/carpets until I saw a saddened panorama of a destroyed Hindu temple at Segambut Estate, its statue of God was nearly washed off by the waist-deep flood water. Mr M.Govin, a local resident who accompanied me there was almost in tears when he asked me what is to be done. I’m speechless… DBKL please tell me, what is to be done?
